Pat Yongpradit

Pat Yongpradit is chief academic officer at Code.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing computer science education. As a national voice for K-12 computer science education, his mission is to provide every school and  every student in the U.S. the opportunity to learn computer science. Throughout his career as a computer science teacher, he has inspired students to develop mobile games and apps for social  and led initiatives to increase participation in computer science among underrepresented groups. 

He has also written on technology curricula at the local, state, and national levels writing and  consulting, and was recognized as a Microsoft Worldwide Innovative Educator in 2010. In 2013, he was featured in the book American Teacher: Heroes in the Classroom. He holds certifications in biology, physics, mathematics, health and technology education.

He has also served as an OECD expert on PISA in 2021.
