Description

Digitization is changing our societies and individual lives before our very eyes. Educational systems in Europe adapt in various ways and political decision-makers often need to rely on goodwill when adopting new measures for digital education. This leaves schools, educators and learners with varying degrees of competences. A worrying state, especially when it comes to ubiquitous datafication and emerging technologies! In the upcoming TrainDL WebTalk, it will therefore be explored if and how "policy experimentation" can be an effective approach for better, evidence-based educational policies in the digital age.

This question will be discussed in a panel with experts. We are looking forward to welcoming the following panelists:

  • Kathrin Herres, Senior Desk Officer for Erasmus+ Policy Support at the DAAD,
  • Johannes Müller, expert for evidence-based social intervention and policy evaluation, founder of CorrelAid and co-founder of &effect,
  • Petra Bevek, Undersecretary at the Slovenian Ministry of Education, Public Authority in the Erasmus+ projects AI4T and VALIANT, and
  • Prof. Dr. Ulrike Lucke, University of Potsdam, expert in the TrainDL Policy Evaluation Cluster.
