Prof. Dr. Ira Diethelm is a member of the Executive Board of the German Informatics Society and has been a full-time professor at the University of Oldenburg since 2008, where she is responsible for teacher training in informatics. During her career at the University of Oldenburg, she was entrusted with various positions, such as vice director of the Didactic Center or the administration of the endowed professorship "Computer Science in Education". Previously, she was a teacher of mathematics, chemistry and computer science at a high school in Braunschweig, where she was also an Computer Network administrator and media officer. 

In current projects, she is particularly dedicated to digital education and the necessary training and continuing education of all teachers.
