TrainDL in March 2022: Consortium Meeting & Steering Committee Meeting

On March 24 and 25, 2022, the third Consortium Meeting and Steering Committee meeting of the Erasmus+ project TrainDL coordinated by the German Informatics Society were held online.

Two rewarding days began with Michael E. Caspersen, honorary professor in the Department of Computer Science at Aarhus University, giving a stirring talk on European Perspectives on Informatics in School. After the Q&A session, in which the consortium members present participated with great interest, a discussion on current work results within TrainDL followed. The focus was on the prototype tool monitoring current educational policies in the areas of artificial intelligence and data literacy. The prototype can now be further developed and improved with the help of the suggestions and questions provided by the consortium.

On the following day, the Steering Committee, consisting of all work package leaders of the project, met to look back on the first year of joint work and to exchange views on both successes and challenges. The day concluded with a workshop that focused on looking forward to the second year of the project, which will include multiple field trials and how the work flow between the different work packages can be optimized.

The two days came to a promising end – especially with the positive prospect of future meetings in presence.

The consortial partners exchange ideas online.
